Daily Diary – 8th May 2018

In by Sean

The end of this experiment.

After 5 months…

So, 5 months ago I started doing daily updates to see how it would go. I know many have viewed some if not many, of these and I really do enjoy doing them. However, doing this every day does detract some time away from me being able to work on blog posts.

So, I have decided, for the moment at least, to stop doing daily diary updates. Now, it may be in the future I start them again. I really hope that people have got something out of them…

Ok, on with today…

Dart out of bed like a sprinter doing the 100m

Little Mr darted out of bed at 7am this morning and run downstairs. Not so little Miss was already down there watching TV. So, I got up (had to go to work today so no lie in), went downstairs and did their breakfast. Then got little Mr ready for school.

When I was ready I did the school walk with not so little Miss, then went to work – begrudgingly.

Almost nodding off…

In the office, the warmth combined with the sun I had yesterday and some other factors, I felt I could have nodded off. I didn’t, but I could have. However, I did my days work and when it was time to go, I was like a 100m sprinter out that door.

I kept thinking today was Monday, so when got back I found not so little Miss was at Karate – well it is Tuesday. So, had some dinner with my wife before it was time to put little Mr to bed – which was at 7:30pm tonight. He was yawning so much.

He nodded off by 7:45pm – must have been a tired boy, which left me time to go pick up not so little Miss from Karate. Then bedtime for her.

I recently came across the following quote

“If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.”
― Maya Angelou

This is my new goal in life. Not to conform to be normal, but to be amazing and I hope to inspire you to be amazing too.
